    The worlds 5th largest company by revune. Also placed 6th on the Forbes Global 2000 list in 2014. Now since they megered Exxonmobil is the largest oil refinery in the world. They produce about 3.9 billion BOE which is about 3% of the worlds production of oil.
  • Three Astronauts Reach the International Space Station for the First t Time

    A three person crew stayed at the space station for 136 days. During their mission the crew activated various systems on board of the ISS. The crew had been very busy throughout the entire mission so it was declared a success.
  • 9/11 Terrorists Attack WTC

    A group of 19 terrorists hijacked planes and flew them into the north and shouth World Trade Center towers. Later another plane hit the pentagon leaving a huge hole on the side. Although many are skeptical about this, that day was a tradity for many Americans.

  • North Korea Admits to Having Nuclear Programs

    The North Korean nuclear program can be divided into four phases. Phase I dealt primarily with training and gaining knowledge. Phase III covers the period of the "nuclear freeze" and Phase IV covers the current period of renewed nuclear activities.

    Two rounds of North Korean missile tests were conducted on July 5, 2006. The North Koreareportedly fired at least seven separate missiles. These included one long-range missile and short-range. The Taepodong-2 was estimated by United States as having a potential range reaching as far as Alaska, although this missile failed after about 42 seconds.

  • Apple CEO Steve Jobs Passes Away

    Steve Jobs also funded what would become Pixar Animation Studios; he became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006, when Disney acquired Pixar. Jobs was among the first to see the commercial potential of Xerox PARC's mouse-driven graphical user interface, which led to the creation of the Apple Lisa and a year later, the original Macintosh.

  • Boston Marathon Bombing

    The Boston Marathon bombing was a bombing incident, followed by shootings, that occured when two pressure cooker bombs exploded during the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013. The bombs exploded about 12 seconds and 210 yards apart at the marathon's finish line on Boylston Street. They killed 3 people and injured an estimated 264 others.
