    One of the last battles of the American Civil war.
  • 23. Abraham Lincoln’s Assassination: 1865

    John Wilkes Booth assassinated Abraham on April 4th, 1865 while Abraham was attending a play at the Ford's Theatre.
  • 25. Andrew Johnson’s Impeachment: 1868

    Andrew broke the law that says he can't dismiss government officials without senate permission.
  • 26. The end of Reconstruction: 1877

    The era began on January 1st, 1863 and ended on March 31st, 1877.
  • 31. The invention of the electric light, telephone, and airplane: 1879, 1849, 1903-1905

    The light bulb invented by Thomas Edison, Joseph Swan, and Hiram Maxim in 1879. The telephone invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1849. Wilbur and Orville were the inventors of the airplane in 1903. They built/flew the very first, fully, practical airplane in 1905.
