WHiskey Rebellion- George Washington The farmers feared the tax would cause them financial ruin. Farmer resisted the tax on whiskey by attacking and intimidating the tax collectors. -

Troops led by General Anthony Wayne defeated the American Indian Confederacy and the battlefield was named after all of the fallen trees and forced the American Indians to accept is peace terms. -
