The French and Indian War
Tremendous gain in North America for England. They begin taxing the colonies to pay for the war efforts. -
The Boston Tea Party
The colonist are frustrated with the "taxation without representation" and in the dead of night dump 342 chests of English tea into the sea at Griffins Warf. -
The Battle of Lexington and Concord
The Shot Heard Around the World. The battle of Lexington and Concord was THE beginning of the Revolutionary War. British soldiers were being rough with the colonists and the colonists fought back. -
The Declaration Of Independence
Congress declared Americas individuality and freedom from Great Britain. -
The Battle of Yorktown
George Washington and 17,000 French and Continental troops lay siege to Yorktown. This is the turning point of the Revolutionary War. -
The Constitutional Convention
55 delegates met to come up with a constitution. The Articles of Confederation are rejected. And the first ever Constitution in world history is established. -

The War of 1812
Britain was being disrespectful of US naval water rights and this resulted in a conflict. In the end there were 15,000 Americans and 8,600 Britain soldiers killed. -
The Missouri Compromise
The two faction of anti slavery and pro slavery want to both gain a new state so that their faction could be bigger than the other. The Missouri Compromise kept thing equal. -

Abraham Lincoln declared all people that are slaves are henceforth free. -

John D. Rockfeller became the owner of the largest oil refinery in the world. The company became a great force in the US before it was broken up into smaller companies. Causing a stock market skyrocket. -
The 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments.
These amendments gave former slaves citizenship, freedom, and gave African American men the right to vote. -
The Surrender at Appomattox Courthouse
Robert E. Lee surrenders his army to that of Ulysses Grand. Ending the Civil War. -
Abraham Lincolns Assassination.
While in the Ford theater that evening Lincoln is shot by Confederate John Wilkes Booth. -
Andrew Johnsons Impeachment
Andrew Johnsons impeachment was due to him breaking the Tenure of Office act. In doing so he overstretched his bounds as President. -

Many workers of railroads and other low paying professions said they would either be paid more or quit work. -

The US and Spain go to war after naval conflicts. Eventually peace is reached over the Treaty or Paris December 10th that year. -

Theo Roosevelt is the youngest president ever and assumes the office after McKinley was assassinated. -
