White settlers in Georgia wanted Cherokee lands. President Jackson sided with the whites and orderd the removel of the cherokee to Oklahoma. Many died. -

A sequiel to the Texas Revolution, this war featured a 4 month conflict over mexico's Northern territory. The US got 1/4th its total current territory. -

When Abraham Lincoln won the electionof 1860, South Carolina led many other southern States in seceeding from the union. Lincoln declared war to bring them back.
