    Christopher Colombus discovered the Americas.This inspired many Europeans to venture out to the New World and claim land for their countries. Which resulted in an increase of trade and Native Americans learning Christianity. But, European explorers also used Native Americans as slaves, and brought diseases with them.

    British Colonization
    1607-1763. Jamestown was the first British colony in America, and marked the beginning of British colonization. People migrated to the New World and joined one of the thirteen colonies. Usually, their reason for leaving was their experience with religious prosecution.

    Colonists were being heavily taxed on almost everything. So, they protested by dumping the tea in the Boston Harbor.
