The Declaration of Independence includes principals. This states a declaration by the original thirteen colonies of America helping their independence and separation from Great Britain. -
Articles of Confederation
This was document adopted by the secound continental congress in 1777 and then it was final appoved by states in 1781. -
Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris, signed on September 3 1783 and approved by the Congress of the Confederation on January 14 1784. This ended the American Revolutionary War between the Kingdom of Great Britain and the thirteen United States of America, which had rebelled against British rule starting in 1775. -
Shays's Rebellion
The Shay's rebellion is about a group of people in the U.S. they were rebelling against the U.S. government. Their target was to close down the courts, so that the jury couldn't take away land from the farmers. Most people in Shay's rebellion were either farmers, or veterans from the revolutionary war. They failed, whiched showed the weakness in the government, which made them write the constitution of the United States. -
Three branches of Goverment
Legislative:Legislative branch passed laws in government tl aim at keeping order and control for the benefit of all citizens. Executive:Executive branch is the branch in government that carries out the laws. Judicial:Judicial branch enforces the laws. -
George Washington becomes President and creates the Cabinet
The USA already had a rudimentary State, Treasury(alexander hamilton),War Dept (john locke's) and state deparment. (thomas jefferison) Before Washington became president and the Constitution states that the president appoints these executive officers with the consent of the Senate. -
Bill of Rights
The Bill of Rights is the collective name for the first ten amendments to the United States Constitution. These limitations serve to protect the natural rights of liberty and property.
