Expanded the power of the executive branch, vetoed national bank, advocated directly for the people, and set a precedence for future presidents. -
Indian Removal Act
Signed by Andrew Jackson, which allowed him to negotiate an exchange between Indian lands and transfer them to land west of the Mississippi River. This caused conflict with some tribes and other left peacefully. Many Indians died during their voyage. -
First Railroad System
Once the railroad was invented and usable, there became a railroad boom that would eventually lead to the growth of our economy. This helped transport passengers and freight faster and was a huge advancement in the 1800's. -

An organization that worked to end slavery because of how inhumane and immoral it was. It demanded that African Americans receive the same political, economic, and social rights as white people. -
Horace Mann created State Board of Education
Establish for collecting and publicizing school information throughout the state. This was a huge advancement in the education system. Horace Mann took the job of secretaryship on the board and throughout his time working for the Board of Education, he worked toward allowing education to everyone several other problems that would help improve the system.
