  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was an event caused by colonists harassing and protesting against the Britich soliders. It led to the British soliders murdering five colonists and anger from the colonishs at the British.
  • Declaration of Independence.

    Declaration of Independence.
    In 1776, the Declaration Of Independence was created so all people in the new world could have freedom. People started to leave England to go to the new world because of this. The Declaration of Independence granted colonists life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Additionally, because of this, some people got absolute tyranny over certain colonies.
  • The Louisiana Purchase

    The Louisiana Purchase
    In 1803, President Thomas Jefferson bought the Louisiana territory from France. This deal was called the Louisiana Purchase. It was worth 15 million dollars. It also consisted of 800,000 square miles, doubling the size of the United States (McDougal Littell, Page 346).
  • The Lewis and Clark Journey West

    The Lewis and Clark Journey West
    Merriweather Lewis and William Clark were two explorers hired by the President to venture through the uncharted western terrain. Lewis recorded over 200 new plant and animal species; on the other hand, Clark made maps of the new geography. Their expedition positively impacted many future Americans (McDougal Littell, Pages 346-348).
  • The Trail of Tears

    The Trail of Tears
    In 1803, President Andrew Jackson enforced a law that all Natives have to move west to Indian Territory. However, to prevent this, the Cherokee trobe tried to go to court to keep their land. Even after the Cherokee won the right to their land, Jackson made them march to the Indian Territory, which was 2,200 miles long (McDougal Littell, Page 405).
  • The Donner Party

    The Donner Party
    In the spring of 1846, a group of settlers begin to travel to California to start a new life. Along the way, the group decides to take a shortcut they had heard about to get to California faster. On the shortcut, they encounter rough terrain and extreamely cold weather, so they have to stop and set up camp. The group starts to starve, and they start to die. The ones still living, however, commit cannabalism by eating the ones who have passed (history.com).
  • The California Gold Rush

    The California Gold Rush
    On January 24th, 1848, gold was first discovered in California by James Marshall. From that moment on, people from around the world started traveling to Calisornia to find gold and get rich. This specific historical event caused economic growth in California McDougal Littell, Pages 439-441).
  • The Attack on Fort Sumter

    The Attack on Fort Sumter
    On April 12, 1861, confederate troops attacked Fort Sumter. Many heavy guns were involved, and a man for each one. This was the begginning of the Civil War. In the end, Fort Sumter surrendered.
  • Green Bay Packers Football Team

    Green Bay Packers Football Team
    The Green Bay Packers football team was established in 1919, making them the 3rd overall oldest football team. On January 15th, 1967, the Packers won their first ever Super Bowl. Ever since, they have won three other Super Bowls.
  • Bugs Bunny (Looney Tunes)

    Bugs Bunny (Looney Tunes)
    Bugs Bunny, a character from the famous cartoon Looney Tunes, was first experimented on in the late 1930's. Then, in 1940, his first production was aired. This had led to him being the 9th most portrayed personality and a Hollywood star.
  • Brown v The Board of Education

    Brown v The Board of Education
    In the early 1950's, schools were segregeted, so often African American children had to travel far to go to school for their skin color. The NAACP sued to allow children to all go to the same school. On May 17th, 1954, the court ruled that the segregation was illegal, The next year, schools were ordered to integrate students in schools.
  • Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Team

    Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Team
    In the July of 1966, the Philadelphia hockey franchise concluded that they wanted a hockey team. They held a contest to find the perfect name. Then, in 1967, the Philadelphia Flyers were born. They won their first Stanely Cup as a hockey team on May 19th, 1974.
  • Punk Rock Genre

    Punk Rock Genre
    The punk rock genre was most popular in the mid 1970's. The songs are usually short or fast paced. Typical instruments in these songs include the vocals, drums, electric guitar, and bass. Some artists in this genre include Green Day, Blink-182, and Bowling for Soup.
  • The Death of Elvis Presely.

    The Death of Elvis Presely.
    Elvis Presley had died because he had a heart attack. He died in a bathroom, was found on the floor, and rushed to a hospital in Memphis, TN. His heart was beating irregularly, then it finally stopped beating all together. Elvis took an overdose of prescription drugs, which had lead to his death. He died on August 16th, 1977. He was 42 years old.
  • 9/11

    9/11
    On September 11th, 2001, four airplanes were taken over by terrorists. Two of these planes were guided to hit the twin towers, and they were successful. Since the airplanes hit the towers, they collapsed.
  • My Birthday

    My Birthday
    As you can see, my birthday is on January 17th, 2002. I am 13 years old and I enjoy cooking, playing soccer, and playing chess. I have one sister, a dog, and a cat. My favorite school subjects are math and science. When I grow up, I want to be a nurse.
