This treaty which was signed in the city of Ghent, was the peace treaty that ended the War of 1812 between the United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. The treaty returned the borders back to what they were before the war of 1812. -
Monroe Treaty
This treaty was signed by President James Monroe in which he told the European powers that they were obligated to respect the Western Hemisphere as the United States' sphere of interest.
