The Sibley commission
Since Georgia supported "massive resistance" and didn't integrate schools, Georgias Governor created a committee to find out the public opinion about integration in public schools. Led by Atl. attorney John Sibley. -
UGA
The first 2 African American were accepted to UGA. Hamilton Holmes and Charlayne Hunter. -

Laws were rejected so that gave the Georgia Assembly the power to withhold funds for public schools that integrated. -
