    The white primary was something that restricted african american involvement in primary elections. This system was found in the southern states of the US. It was found unconstitutional in 1946 because it disfranchised blacks from voting.

    President Truman believed that there was a problem in the Army about segregation. He investigated the Army about respect with African Americans and found that they were being treated unfairly. He signed an
    Executive Order that stated the desegregation of the Army. Shortly after, the Army integrated blacks into the army and made sure that they were respected and treateed fairly.

    Oliver Brown tried to enroll his black daughter into a whit school and was rejected. They took this issue to court and ended up going all the way to the Supreme court. The case was argued over for 3 years. Brown won the case and schools across the country were changed. They now could not turn down students that wanted to enroll into their school because of the students race.
