Election of 1824
During the Election of 1824 Andrew Jackson had the electoral votes. Adams had the most popular votes. He needed to have more electoral votes to win office. -
Election of 1828
Andrew Jackson's followers were so focused for him to win that they created a Democratic Party. He was once again running against John Quincy Adams. It was basically a rematch for the Election of 1824. Jackson won once again and he gave his followers jobs. -
The Indian Act Removal
President Andrew Jackson wanted to open land for American farmers. The problem was that Native Americans lived in this land. Congress passed an act which authorized the removal of the Native Americans. -
Worchester v. Georgia
Cherokee wanted to adopt the white people culture so the wouldn't have anymore conflicts. Georgia wnated to remove them because the land where they lived had gold. Cherokee sued them and they won the case. -
Panic of 1837
The Whig Party wanted one out of four candidates to win. Jackson and Buren won. But Jackson was placed in office and because of him the country was having economic problems. -
Trail of Tears
President Jackson didn't enforce the courts decision. He had the troops remove them and they were forced to leaved. Even though the Supreme Court simply stated that they were independent. They had a harsh journey. Which is known as the Trail of Tears.
