A tribe of indians that were enlisted for war. the navajo soldiers were form to communicate secret messages. This was so that any of the enemy cannot translate it. -

These U.S. pilots were first to volunteer. They fought against Japan in China. They were made up of 100 pilots and 200 support crew. -

This project by FDR. Scientist were developing a nuclear bomb due to fear of Germany doing it first. The scienteist were Leó Szilárd, Leó Szilárd, and Einstin. -

An order to relocate Japanese to a facility to ensure an attack will not happen. These facilities are located outside the cities. The facility was not very high quality. -
Bataan Dath March
In 1942 Japan took over the philippines. They have the prisioner of war walk a long trail to a facility. The distance was about 65 miles. -
Battle of Midway
The United States's navy went through a decisive navel battle against Japan in Midway Atoll, America sank 4 fleets: Akagi, Kaga, Soryu, and Hiryu along with 322 aircraft and 5,000 sailors. -

A brodcast that shares government informations during WWII. they were also brodcasting propagandas too. They were brodcasting in the countries at home and to the military. -

He was one of the commanders in North Africa. He managed to push Nazi out of the area. The plan was formed by Eisenhower. -
Korematsu v. U.S.
Around the time Japanese were taken to a facility. Korematsu challanged the court to establish that the executibe order 9066 was not necessary. The U.S. won however. -
George S. Patton
He was pomoted to the highest point of position after WWI. He lead several army through France to clear the area from enamies. He also lead the counterattack of the Battle of the Bulged. -
Dwight D. Einsenhower
A general during WWII who was responsible of planning the invasion of North Africa (Operaiton Torch). He also planned the invasion France, and Germany. He later becomes a U.S. president. -
D-Day invasion
160,000 allied forces attacked the German troops in beach of Normandy. The allied forces was victorious. Due to this Germany surrendered without condition. -

A U.S. officer who was given a several rewards for his actions, in Italy when they were fighting against the German. This is a big deal because African Americans have never was rewarded for that. -

The 33rd president of the united stastes. This was due because FDR had passed away. He approved to drop the two nuclear bombs on Japan. -

Conference held by Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill, and Harry Truman. They were there to determan the boarders of Europe after WWII. Eventually Germany was splited into 2 halves. -
Atomic bomb
U.S. droped 2 nuclear bomb on Japan. The first one was on Hiroshima (Little Boy) which killed 140,000 people. The one on Nagasaki (Fat man) killed 80,000. -
Hiroshima/Nagasaki
A nuclear bomb was dropped on each of them resulting a total city wipeout. Hiroshima bomb was little boy and the Nagasaki was fat man. They both killed a total of 220,000. -
Nuremberg Trials
Series of trials to figure out the punishment for the crimes form Nazi Germany. Germany was then broken down. After that the country was split into two.
