    0-2 years old

    When a baby is born they already have the skills to recognize and respond to their caregivers. Until a child turns three, they are in the sensorimotor stage which is where they use their actions and senses to learn and grow. Physically, a baby more than triples in their weight by two years old and they also grow about 10-12 inches.

    2-6 years old

    Children between 2-6 years old tend to grow three inches in height every year and gain about 4-5 pounds each year. By the age of six, their body is more proportional like that of an adult. At this point, kids start to reason and also learn things such as colors, numbers, and letters. In terms of emotional development, they learn how to manage their feelings and by five years old friends are very important.

    6-11 years old

    In this timeframe, kids begin to use more language, have more self control, friendships, and social skills. They also get better at problem-solving and begin to show more attention for a longer period of time. They also start to rely on their friends instead of parents for comfort. Physically, they will gain about 6-7 pounds a year, grow about an inch around their head, and grow a little more than 2 inches a year.

    11-18 years old

    This time frame is where almost every kid goes through the stage of puberty. During this stage, there will be more mood swings or emotional outbursts due to the hormones. Physically, your private parts will develop, you will grow in height, gain some weight, increase in sweating and oily skin, growth of hair, and increase in sexual feelings.

    18-25 years old

    From the ages 18-25, you would also be in a time frame of a lot change more so mentally though. Three main things that you would be getting used to are the change in yourself physically due to puberty, sexual maturing body and feeling, and applying abstract thinking skills. In terms of your sexual feelings, many people in this age gap being to think about their future such as what they want in a spouse, what kind of a person you are, and maybe even what kind of relationship they want.

    25-65 years old

    At this time, most physical changes are done although you might grow an inch or two or gain a couple pounds. But, at this age most of our physical abilities are at their peak, including muscle strength, reaction time, sensory abilities, and cardiac function. On the downside, at this time, most people start to lose hair, have loss/sensitivity to hearing, changes in vision, and skin becomes drier and starts to wrinkle.

    65+ years old

    By the age of 65, brain cells are lost in the critical areas such as the hippocampus which is what processes memories. Physically after 65+ years of age, your muscle mass decreases, the immune system can't fight as easily, and organs become less efficient.
