In the beginning, the boom starts out with girl named Clara who is a quarter angel. It explains how she has a purpose and why they have to move. In this, it just goes back to when her mother had first told her about being an angel and that she would have a divine purpose one day. -

Clara has moved to this new town with her brother, Jeffery, who isn't taking it well, and her mother. She has been having visions of a forest fire and a guy. She thinks that she has to save and then, she meets him at the school and passes out. -

Clara has learned more about her purpose and has learned that she isn't the only angel blood. A girl named Angela is also a half angel and tells Clara things she didn't know. Around this time is when she stops talking to her mother and starts turning, well bratty. She pretty much complains on how her mother doesn't tell her anything and how annoying her purpose is. -

Clara is finally in the destined place. Christin, the boy in her visions, and who she has been stalking, is there. And yet, Clara decides that she doesn'y want to listen to God and goes to save a boy named Tucker who she had fallen in love with. Strange thing is, is her brother was also at this second fire which causes suspision. And then that';s the cliff hanger it ends with.
