The War Guilt Clause
Required Germany to accept full responsibility for the war, this was because many politicians didn't think Germany would be able to make its reparation payments. This cluase caused much resentment and humiliation and Germany was angry. -
Treaty of Versailles
The Treaty of Versailles was signed by the Big Four (Italy, France, Britain, and the US). It was created in the hopes that WW1 would come to an end. The Treaty listed many points that helped eliminate Germany's expansion. -

Hitlers expansionist policies were encouraged because the League of Nations failed to stop Japans agresssion towards Manchuria, and Italy's agression in Abyssinia. -
Germany Leaves the League of Nations
Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party came into recent power in Germany. And Hitler annouced that Germany must regain it's great status, he belived that the Treaty of Versailles was the main source of Germany's problems. So Hitler left the League of Nations. -
Anschluss
Hitler wanted more land for Germany so he embarked on a policy of Anschluss, which was a union of Austria and Germany. Hitler convinced the Austrian Government to legalize the Austrian Nazi party, which took power. -
Conference in Munich
To appease Hitler hoping to avoid another war the Bristish Prime Minister (Chamberlain) met Hitler in Munich and gave him Sudetenland even though no one representing the Sudetenland was present. -
Germany takes Czechoslovakia
Germany takes over the rest of Czechoslovakia due to no other forces stopping him, he continues to expand over to Poland dispite France and Britain forces.
