    Uganda could export anything, but the only import coming in uganda were from England. The import coming from england were mainly food and industrial material.
  • Independance

    Uganda gains independence. Tuesday, 9 October 1962.
    The East African country Uganda gained independence from Great Britain as a parliamentary democratic monarchy.
  • Monarchy to democracy

    Before 1962 Uganda was a monarchy but after get independence in 1962 Uganda became a representative democracy. The prime minister was Milton Obote.
  • Voting

    Every ugandan citizen over 18 could vote for a prime minister every five years.
  • Import and export

    Uganda started exporting more and more goods. The major import are Palm oil, cars, medication, telephones and wheat. The major export are coffee, tea, corn, cement, raw tabasco and coco beans.
  • Population growth

    The population in Uganda went height very quickly after getting independence, more people from other countries and between 2000 and now the population almost doubled, it went from 24 000 000 to 41 000 000.
  • Good geographic features

    Uganda is in the middle of africa so there are many countries next to it, that import things from Uganda; There are also some rivers starting the lake of Uganda crossing different countries around Uganda. Those two geographic features are starting to be helpful for Uganda’s trading.
