The Kingdom of Lunda
The Kingdom of Lunda is located in Angola. There is about 500,000 people inhabiting Lunda. Along with these people who inhabit this land their language is known as Western Bantu. They have kept this language alive since 200sBC when they started to speak Bantu . The Kingdom was under control by England, portugal, and Belgium for a considerable amount of time. Since this happened the area of independance is not really celebrated in this kingdom. -

The Kingdom of Kongo
The Kingdom of Kongo began with the marriage of Nima a Nzima to Luqueno Luan Sanze, the daughter of Nsa-cu-Clau the chief of the Mbata people, south of the Congo river. Their marriage created the alliance between the Mpemba Kasi and the neighboring Mbata people. The alliance became the foundation of the Kingdom of Kongo. Historians, therefore, date the founding of the Kingdom of Kongo to sometime around 1390 CE. -

Establishment and Growth of Lozi
The Luba kingdom was first established by King Kongolo Maniema around 1585. The Luba kingdom later became the Lundas and spread their rule through present lands of northern Angola, northwestern Zambia, and the southern Democratic Republic of Congo. According to myths one of the most important parts of the growth of the kingdom was when a hunter named Chibinda Ilunga married a princess south of there kingdom and gained her land. -
The Government of the Lozi People
The Lozi People were first officialized under a king around the 1600s. They called him a litunga or king; the king was assisted by the aristocracy. The Lozi People were first called the Luyana. -
Kololo Invasion
During the Mid 1800s, the Lozi Kingdom was invaded by the Kololo. Under the leadership of Sebetwane, the Kololo we able to control the southern parts of the Lozi Kingdom. Unfortunately, the following leader, Sekeletu,of the Kololo stirred and unrest among the Lozi people. In 1864 The Lozi people were able to overthrow the Kololo -
Luba Becomes Congo
The kingdom of Luba later called the Lundas spread their rule as the grew. Around the time of In 1889, the empire was split in two by a succession dispute, ending the empire as a unified state. The empire was later absorbed into the Belgian Congo Free State. -
Independence of Gabon
At first, the French, owned and enslaved Gabon and claimed that land. In 1849, captives released from a captured slave ship founded Libreville. Then in 1910, Gabon became one of the four territories of French Equatorial Africa. On 15 July 1960 France agreed to Gabon being fully independent. Bongo was the president of Gabon since 2009. He became president in 1961, but after slavery, he was reelected in 1967. He then died later that year. -
Bongo declared a one-party state
The one party state established the Parti Democratique Gabonais. Leon m’ba was the first prime minister and president of Gabon. He was also a member of the fang ethnic group. He was born February 9, 1902 and died November 27, 1967. He was supported by bongo. -
Angolan Independence
In 1975, Angola gained independence from the Portuguese. The Angolan war of independence was an uprising against forced cotton cultivation. This uprise became a big problem for the control of Portugal’s overseas province of Angola. The war ended when the leftist military coup overthrew the Portuguese’s second republic in 1974. This stopped all military action in the colonies and declared Angola independence. In 1975, the war was officially over when the Portuguese signed the Avalon Agreement.
