  • The beginning of the war

    Northern Korean armed forces crossed the 38th parallel. This was the first military action of the cold war.

  • North goes after Pusan

    North overruns the entire peninsula except for the Pusan perimeter. The tried but failed. South fought back until September 16 1950.

  • South has cute guys

    The South pushed back all the way North.

  • Armistice was signed at PANMUNJOM

    Ceasefire negotiations dragged on for two more years. orth Korea remained a communist dictatorship, and South Korea remained under the control of Syngman Rhee, a military strong man. Over 53,000 Americans were killed in the conflict.
