The battle took place at bunker hill outside of Boston.This battle is famous for the quote from washing saying not to fire until you see the whites of their eyes.Although the Americans did lose this battle it is still a win for them in the fact that it shows they can put up a good fight.Its also important because the Americans took amount a good amount of the British with 268 killed and 828 injured. -

The first battle of Trenton the u.s launched a surprise attack on the hessian mercenaries. The u.s won after the hessian's surrender the fight.A major win as the u.s killed 20,wounded 100,and captured 1,000. The second battle of Princeton Washington took his army a different rout to avoid the British. Then they found the British guard and out numbed them 5 to 1,a second u.s win. -

In the first battle the U.S troops attacked on saratoga in New York defeating the British. In the second battle British general Burgoyne defied orders and attacked on the U.S . This led to a second U.S win with Burgoyne's surrender.These battles being a major point in the war because these battles convinced the french to be out allies. -
Battle of Vincennes
The Americans launched a winter attack on fort Vincennes. They ended up setting it on fire and barricading the only fort exit.The British surrendered imminently. This battle was important as about 4 Americans were killed and a large amount of British soldiers were killed before their surrender. -
Battle of Bohomme Richard Vs.Serapis
This was a Navy battle between the us ship the Bohomme Richard and the British ships the Serapis,and the Countess of Scarborough.The U.S won this hard fought engagement with the two British ships.The took place at the western isles of England,and was a three hour battle.The importance of this battle being that the U.S won against two British ships,that are major pats of the Baltic merchant fleet. -

The British used the loyalist against the patriots in this battle,it started out with the loyalist quarreling with the patriots.The patriots reacted violently.This eventually led to the patriots in a battle with the British. This eventually led to "the worst defeat in the war" with the Americans surrendering. -
Battle of Guliford Courthouse
The Americans fought with the British and took about a good 25 percent of their army with the Americans still in tact.The U.S surrenders as a good battle tactic to keep most of their men and have knocked out that 25 percent at that battle. Causing the British to win with significant troop loss and the U.S to lose with almost no troop loss. -

The final battle of the American revolution.With the help of the french with 34 ships the american troops an the ships corner the British,eventually forcing the British to surrender.This is especially important as this battle won us our independence from Britain with the surrender of Lord Cornwallis.
