  • George Washington

    George Washington has an army that would be used to defeat the British in June, 1775. His strategies is what made him win battles such as the battle of Trenton which is in 1776. Even if he lost many many battles against the British he was able to retreat with less casualties. During the Revolutionary war he has been in 16 battles and manage to survive along with his continental army. However, in the battle of York town George Washington and his army won due to the french alliance.
  • Patrick Henry

    Patrick Henry was born in Virginia May 29, 1736, and was married in 1754 to Sarah Shelton. After the death of Sarah Shelton, Patrick has married to Dorothea Dandridge in 1777. He was a colonel of the first Virginia regiment in August 26, 1775. In May 6,1776 he has played a role in the fifth Virginia convention, and was elected as the first governor of the commonwealth on June 29.
  • Joseph Brant

    Joseph Brant, Mohawk warrior, tribal leader, and diplomat for the British, was educated at Connecticut. He was trained in arts, science, English, and many other language. During the 1783, Brant wanted to negotiate with the U.S. when he found out about the treaty of Paris. Washington has recognized about Brant and his forces so he offered a reward for Joseph Brant's capture. In 1792, he was then invited by Washington to accompany the six nation leader.

This would allow the women to have the same rights as men. At the time of 1778 when John Adams when to France and England, she was informing about the politics. she began to join John Adams in 1783 exploring France and England.

All the States except New York signed the Declaration of Independence which declared that the U.S. are against the British rules. The Declaration of Independence, a declaration written by Thomas Jefferson, allow the men to have equal rights. At that time when the Declaration of Independence has been announced the U.S. were battling against the British. The results ended in the U.S. favor.

    Battle of Long Island
    At that time, the Battle of Long Island was meant to see who will seize control over New York. The British army was successfully beating the Continental army. Even tough, George Washington and his men were defeated they were able to retreat to continue the battle.
  • The Battle of Harlem Heights

    George Washington has written a letter to the president of congress in the main body of Harlem Heights about how he, and his continental army had retreated in the Battle of Long Island in August 27, 1776. The British soldiers were spotted, and 150 men were sent to investigate. Since the british weren't aware of the continental army, George Washington then sent 1,000 of his men for a counter attack which ended as Washington's continental army as the victors.

    During the night of Christmas, George Washington has sent 2,400 men in small rowboats across the cold Delaware river and marched 9 miles to go to New Jersey. They found an opportunity to make a surprise attack. This result in 30 enemies dead, and 918 were captive. The Americans also got 6 of their cannons. After that happened they won the British 1,200 men.

    This events wasn't a battle, but a turning point. it began with the defeat of George Washington at the battle of Brandywine. They have managed to survive and camped at Germantown, then they went to Lancaster Philadelphia. however, the British wasn't able to go the same direction because the route was blocked. during 1 P.M of September 16, 1777 is the battle began. But, they have survived and fought another battle.
  • The Philadelphia Campaign

    while the British were heading toward Philadelphia, the business men, and patriots left . However, those who were loyalist, Quaker (members of a religious society which is christian), and those who are poor stayed back. Those who stayed back considered themselves as English citizens. Once they arrived Philadelphia was taken over by them and the state was filled with Englishmen living there. Many churches has been turned to hospitals, and jails is where war prisoners was kept.
  • Allies with French

    During February 6, 1778, Benjamin Franklin was at France to make allies with them. By him signing the treaty of Amity, and Commerce the U.S. was recognized as an independent nation. These treaties allowed them to trade with each other, and France were able to help the U.S. in a war against Great Britain. With the support the U.S. got from France by sending armaments, loans, and 44,000 men (soldiers, and sailors) they were able to fend off the British
  • Battle of Yorktown

    At that moment George Washington has sent 17,000 men against 9,000 of british men at Yorktown, Virginia. George Washington has gotten help form France because they most of the men were a part of 17,000 army. This favors the Americans, and the British has failed to escape Yorktown because George Washington has sent 5,000 of his men to block the escape route. After three weeks of battling, general Cornwallis has surrender to George Washington. This allow to stop fighting in the american colonies.
