NATO will give Afghanistan control of security in 2014
Although the date is not set, they plan to give it back to the Afghan government, after U.S. and other forces withdraw from the country. -
Osama Bin Ladin is killed
One of the main purposes for the U.S. to be involved in Afghanistan was to hunt down and kill Osama Bin Ladin.
