The California Gold Rush
The California Gold rush began in 1848. The Americans living on the east coast rushed to the west at first news of gold. Most traveler made the migration in 1849, hence their name, forty-niners. This was hugely influencial to America's history because it populated the mostly wild California, and gave us a reason to move even farther west. -
The abolition of slavery
The 13th amendment was passed in1864. It freed slaves and made it illegal to own them. Although this was not the end of racism for America, it was a huge first step to equal rights for all races. -

World War II was mostly fueled by Germany. Millions died and even more families were impacted. World War II is widely remembered today as one of the most horryfying and emotionally, and phyically, scarring wars in the 20th century. -
March on Washington / "I Have a Dream" Speech
MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech is one of the most influential speeches of all time. It caused hope during the civil rights movement and was a huge step in the right direction. -
Apollo 11 Landing on the Moon
Apollo 11 was the first aircraft to land on the moon. My uncle, Harlan Neuville was the head engineer on the mission. The first landing on the moon was a huge leap in modern science and technology. -
My Birthday!
I was born in Hershey, speak almost fluent spanish, and went to a tiny school in Lancaster with my brother Steven. -
9/11
On 9/11/01, two planes flew into the twin towers. This changed the way America operates forever. Including sucurity and laws.
