    AKA The Second War for independence. U.S. defeated the British. Andrew Jackson emerged as a war hero by saving the city of New Orleans.

    White settlers in Georgia wanted Cherokee lands. President Jackson sided with the whites and ordered the removal of the Cherokee to Oklahoma. Many Died.

    A sequal to the Texas Revolution, this war featured a 4 mounth conflict over Mexico's nothern territory. The US got 1/4th its total current territory.
