Eli Whitney found a way to remove cotton seeds way faster than they had been doing it, and he had a lot of enslaved laborers work on the cotton farm, even though many Americans believed in the abolishment of slavery at this time (Boo slavery Yay equality!) -
The Alien and Sedition Acts
America had real potential and was making so much progress, then came the alien and sedition acts of 1798. Basically the president (John Adams) created a law that said it was okay to deport foreigners and made it harder for them to vote (Boo John Adams, Yay equality!) -
