Typical Student Behavior

  • AGE 6

    AGE 6
    The child is obsessed with rules and knows when the rules are being broken. The child will seek to do most things independently. More about 6 year old behaviors
  • AGE 8

    AGE 8
    The child will see rules as black and white and will not easily exceptions to those rules. They will typically have trouble playing with their peers. More about 8 year old behavior
  • AGE 10

    AGE 10
    The child will see rules as flexible and usually make excuses when they are misbehaving. The child will obey his/her parents most of the time. More about 10 year old behavior
  • AGE 11- 13

    AGE 11- 13
    This is the Middle school stage. You will notice that the students personality may change often as they are experiencing hormonal changes and may have difficulty controlling their emotions. At this age students are focusing on making friends and are also exploring new interest. Bullying is much more common throughout these years. More about 11-13 year olds
  • AGE 14-18

    AGE 14-18
    Students during this age group begin setting goals for themselves and wanting alot more independence. They will want to start dating, driving, and even working. Students this age may break the rules if you do not set clear expectations and stick to the consequences. They may also experience issues with low self esteem. More about teen age behavior
