His birth name was Lesane Parish Crooks, but in 1972 his name was changed to Tupac Amaru Shakur in honor of the revolutionary Inca Túpac Amaru II. -

On the night of November 30, 1994, one day before the verdict was announced for sexual abuse, Tupac received bullet wounds. -
Jail
Tupac began his sentence on February 14, 1995 at the Clinton Correctional Facility in New York. After serving eight months in prison, Shakur was released from prison. -
Last Concert
On July 4, 1996, Tupac performed live at the House of Blues with the Outlawz, The Dogg Pound, and Snoop "Doggy" Dogg. It was Shakur's last concert. -
