    When/where/how did the fire start
    In New York City, a fire started due to a person leaving a cigarette in a trash bin causing it to spread through out the building on the 8th floor were hundreds of young women and men died, and most of of the young women were immigrants .
  • How did it spreed

    since the fire started in the trash bin, the fire easily traveled onto the cotton clothes, close by. Also the building didn't exactly have a fire sprinkler system but what a manager did to stop the fire was to use a horse but the horse didn't work, and the fire spreed-ed really fast.

    many doors were locked during the fire. the main door collapsed not allowing them to go out the rest of the doors were too narrow for the girls to go in while the doors were a struggle one elevator was working but only allowing 12 people on per trip.
