Protest against tax on tea made by American patriots, tons of tea were thrown to the water by this people.
People was upset because of the commercial restrictions. -
Convocation of the first continental progress
Delegates of the 12 colones met to figure out what to do with the Intolerable acts.
Finally they decided that the best option would be to ban the export of American good to Britain if the intolerable acts if they didn't stop. -
Battles of Lexington and Concord
British governor made a plan with the objective of seize the colonists military stores.
Interception was made to British troops so they couldn't finish the plan finally bing send to Boston. -
Adoption of the Declaration of Independence
The 13 colonies were proclaimed independent when the second continental congress adopted the declaration of independence.
The war continued anyways because Britain wasn't giving up the colonies. -
Signature of the treaty of Paris
The war and the revolution had ended in a formal way when the treaty of Paris was signed between Great Britain and the American colonies.
This treaty was negotiated with John Adams, Benjamín Franklin and John Jay. -
Enlightment 18th century
Philosophical international movement of new, innovating and different opinions, ideas and ways of thinking political, religious and educational matters.
A big change on people´s minds, kind of having a more extend view of everything. -
