CIENTIFIC REVOLUTION

Andreas Vesalius Published on the Fabric of the Human Body.
Nicolas Copernicus Published de Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium.
Galileo discovered many things. His discoveries provided the evidence to support the theory that the earth revolved around the sun.
An English politician named Sir Francis Bacon developed a method to weight the knowledge. He realized that people's sensory experiences provided the best possible means of making sense of the world.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT

Means the century of lights (18th century).
It was a movement that was inspired in the separation of the church and the stat and had ideas like liberty. Cecaria beccaria, his writings were well ahead of their time, they spread to France and England. Voltaire´s style made him one of France's greatest writers. He was a supporter of social reform. His writtings inspired the revolution. David Hume was a Scottish philosopher.

AMERICAN REVOLUTION

-Continental Army forced the British out of Boston in 1776.
-Battle of Saratoga in 1777: victory to Americans Ethan Allen was a soldier during the American Revolution. He was militia leader of a special group of soldiers.

FRENCH REVOLUTION

Alexander I - Czar and Emperor of Russia from 1801 to 1825. Napoleon I, he was emperor of french from 1804 until 1814, and again briefly in 1815. Duke of Wellington - British commander who, along with Blucher, took primary credit for defeating Napoleon at Waterloo.
