The Nail
This invention dates back 2,000 years to Ancient Romans. This invention had allowed human society to be able to create larger, sound buildings and objects to assist us in daily routines. Only up until the late 1790s, were the smaller nails that we see today were being manufactured. Before this time, nails were created from a blacksmith. -

The Compass
Before this tool was developed, ancient sailors used the starts as means to travel and navigate to their destination. This however changed when the Chinese invented the first compas. Made from lodestone (magnetized ore)the compass would always point to its opposite magnet, just like a modern day compas. -

Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press.This invention allowed for humans to increase the speed at which printed materials (ie. books, newspapers, etc.) could be created. -

Over many years and scientist purifying this fungus, Penicillin was developed.This discovery allows for humans to treat bacterial infections, without harming themselves in the process. -
