Kindle Fire Was Released
Amazon released the Kindle Fire tablet in 2011, marking the first time an Amazon device moved beyond the simple E-reader. Instead, this tablet further includes user-friendly functions similar to any phone (or iPod), such as downloading apps or playing games. -
Amazon Echo Was Created
Jeff Bezos came up with the Amazon Echo invention in 2011 and it caught on fairly quickly. This device was the first gateway for Alexa, the well-known virtual assistant that can be accessed from the Kindle Fire tablet and other Amazon devices as well. The most common use of Alexa through the Echo to date is probably for playing music and ordering groceries. -
GPT Was Created
GPT (generative pre-trained transformative) is a unique function developed by the OpenAI company in 2018. This is one of the biggest AI products and gave way to the commonly used ChatGPT, a resource that can aid users in creating specifically designed text for various purposes. GPT has since evolved to GPT-4, developed in 2023 as an altogether smarter and more up-to-date version of both GPT ad ChatGPT.
