Scout goes to school for the first time and meets her teacher Miss Caroline. Here she finds that everyone in her class knows the alphabet very well. -
No More Reading
Miss Caroline finds out that Scout is very good at reading and tells her that Atticus isn't allowed to teach her, because he could affect her learning. This leads Scout to think that reading is a bad thing. -
Walter Cunningham
When it was time for lunch, Miss Caroline noticed that one of her students, Walter, didn't have any. She then offers to lend him a quarter so he can buy some but he denies the offer.
