    During the Palin- Mcain elections in 2008, Tina Fey was asked to play Sarah Palin in a mock election skit on SNL, even though she did not work there anymore. Lots of people said she would be the best person to act as her so she said yes to the job. She acted alongside Amy Poehler (Hillary Clinton). This was a big turning point in her career. There was some negative feed back, and some mixed messages.
