    August 4, 1914 the British declared war which means that we were at war. This is a positive +1 because we would fight away from home so that our family and land was not hurt.

    This battle took place from March to 16 April 1916. This battle saw a lot of confusion through the allied ranks. Our trench's were flooded up to the waist. This is a -1 because we lost 1,373 Canadian troops and all the confusion could have been corrected.

    This battle took place from 2 to 14 June 1916 4. The Germans attack allied positions. We lost a lot of troops and ground. We later regained that ground. This battle has a negative -1 because all we did is loose troops

    This battle took place from 1 July – 18 November 1916. NewFoundLands 1st regiment was gunned down by the Germans which caused the allies to loose. This is a negative -1 because we lost troops and the battle.

    This battle took place from 9–12 April 1917. This battle was made up of four Canadian divisions fight the Germans. We won the battle and some people say this was the first step to Canada's independence. This is a +1 because it united Canada.

    November 11, 1918 was the end of World War 1. All countries agreed to stop fighting. This is a +1 because people got to their families.

    Soldiers coming back from war got money which allowed them to spend more money luxuries. This is a +1 because it moved the economy.

    In the 20's people had no more need for horses so people weren't buying wheat. This caused the wheat farmers to go find other jobs. This is a -1 because people lost their jobs.
