Flappers smoked in public, drank alcohol, danced at jazz clubs and practised sexual freedom. They mostly did this to shock their parents and show them how crazy they could be.

    Indian Act of 1920 (Residential Schools)
    (-3 Ranking) This was the amendment which added Residential schools. This made it so that Indigenous children was forced to attend Residential schools until a certain age. This event was discriminatory towards Indigenous peoples. Residential schools main purpose was to suppress the cultures that Indigenous children had learned.

    (+2 Ranking) Diabetes was a fatal disease, which had not been curable for ages. Insulin was the first discovery of it helping patients recover and live past diabetes. This discovery was crucial to medicine history and helped many people. Federick Banting and his team helped discover Insulin.

This act restricted Chinese culture and made it so that Chinese immigrants have to apply for a Canadian identification which removes their Chinese status. If any immigrant didn't get an identification card by 12 months, they would be imprisoned. Chinese call the day this act was passed Humiliation day.

    DEFINING EVENT (-1 Ranking) This event had caused numerous people to lose huge amounts of money. Investors and companies started to freak out and they lost most of their money. Employees worked until collapse. The main reason why this had happened was because earlier, Canada's economy was booming, which had led to people overflowing the queue to buy lots of shares of stocks. This overflowing caused the market to stall, and then suddenly crash.
