IMPACT
The arrival of Christopher Columbus was the beginning of the conquest of America.
The spread of the diseases that Europeans carried with them (smallpox, typhus, yellow fever, etc.) produced a collapse of the American population that had a great impact on death. Likewise, diseases of America came, such as the dreaded syphilis (which decimated the European population since Spanish possessions in Italy in 1494).
