  • My first Hand Held video game.

My first Hand Held video game.
I remember getting a Matel Classic Fun Football handheld game. It came out in 1977, but I remember my Grandma buying me one for when I visited her when I was 4 which would put the year about 1980.
  • My Family's first VCR player.

In 1988, my father got orders to be stationed in Lajes Field Azores, an island Archipelago off the coast of Portugal. We technically bought it before we moved so we can record as many TV shows as possible since there was only one English speaking TV station ran by the US Military. Because there was not much to do on the island, we rented a lot of movies from the Shoppette ( a military convenience store). I must have seen almost every 80's movie while living there.
  • My first real gaming system.

I don't remember the exact year, but I do remember getting an Atari game console in the late 80's, 88 or 89 I think. I remember the games we had, Pole Position, Galaga and Pac-Man. We were living overseas and my parents had a lot of CC debt because of mail order since we didn't have many stores to shop at on the Island we were on. Most of my friends had the NES ( the original Nintendo Entertainment System) at the time, but I still remember having a blast playing those games.
  • The Familys first Computer

I was a Freshman in High School when we got our first Computer. It was about 1991. I only remember using it to play video games. I don't even think we actually had the internet at that time. I enjoyed playing the games but that was about all I did on the computer.
  • Period: to

First years of using the internet.

I don't remember the first thing I looked up, but I do remember looking up music videos of some of my favorite bands, trying to download music from file sharing sites like Napster, looking up information about places. The only thing I remember not liking is the sounds the Modem made when you wanted to dial up the internet as well as the time it took.
  • My first Cell Phone

I got my first Cell Phone from Verizon Wireless in 2003. It was a Nokia if I remember correctly. I had a basic plan with no texting. I just remember being excited to be able to call people when ever I wanted and not have to wait for the land line to free up.
  • My first Laptop

When I attended ITT Tech for Computer Electronics, part of the Tuition fee included a whole kit for the major you were going for. In this kit a laptop was included. I remember how light it was, and mobile compared to a PC. Unfortunately I didn't get the internet for it until a year after I had it but it served its purpose for the classes I had. It was a Dell laptop.
  • Building my first PC

I think I built my first PC in 2013. I remember ordering the parts through Newegg.com. I got a fairly decent graphics card, I had a good processor, motherboard, cooling unit, a powerful PSU, it had 1TB of memory and 16GB of ram. I think I paid $1500 for everything. I put it all together myself. I was so proud that I did that. I guess my A+ cert paid off. I still build my own PCs to this day.
