Effects of Great Depression
Many people lost their jobs, Banks had closed down. Many families suffered and lost their homes and businesses. -
Maginot Line
The French build a huge line of solders protecting it's border from Germany, stretching 943 miles long. They ended up being attacked as the Germans came through Belgium, instead of crossing the France-German border. -
Baby Booooooooom!
As the soldiers came home in large groups they settled down with their wives. Many babies were born around the same time which caused schools to be understaffed and underfunded to support the large groups of kids coming in. -
Draft for Vietnam War
The draft recruited many people for the arms via lottery tickets with numbers which would signify certain birthdays. The people called would go to war, unless you were in college then your safe from the dangers of war. Although people volunteered for it, many people had no choice to go unless they were in college or jail.
