First college experience
My first experience at a college was when my family and I got to go on many trips to the University of Pittsburgh - both my parents went there. It was my first ever time seeing a college around 8 years old. -
Older sister at college
Years went by and I was able to see my role model apply and go to college - my oldest sister, she received a full scholarship from UMiami. I was not able to comprehend that this will be me in a couple years. I wanted to be as brave as her going so far. -
Next sister going to college
The day came and my other sister went to the University of Pittsburgh, I couldn't believe I would be alone in the house with just my mom. I had to go through 4 years of highschool without my sisters. I was so jealous of them and was waiting for the day I will start looking at colleges. -
First college visit for myself
My oldest sister at Miami graduated 5 full years of college - I was lucky enough to go to graduation. From the years my sister was in college I got to visit Florida many times and fell in love. The day after my sisters graduation, my dad and I drove to Boca Raton and I got to go on my first official college tour at FAU. I loved it but it made me nervous that in just a couple months I would be applying. -
Applying
The beginning of my senior year was the most stressed I have ever been. I had to apply to all my colleges and think about my future which I felt like I have always avoided. -
Getting in
After having all my college applications in early, I heard back from my first school - FAU. It was such a relief knowing I will be attending college next fall. After watching both my sisters go to college and seeing their success it makes 10 times more excited to go to college.
