The child can think logically and about concrete objects and can thus add and subtract. Also, the child can understand the concept of conservation. Ends at age 12. -
Piaget's Formal Operation Development
The now adolescent can reason abstractly and think in hypothetical terms. From age 12 through adulthood. -
