    On this day, I began Kindergarden at Hillcrest Elementary school in East Tennessee
  • Won Director's Writing Contest.

    Won Director's Writing Contest.
    In 6th grade, I wrote a story that eventually won the Director's Writing Contest in Hamblen County. I believe this is when my love for writing truly began.
  • Voted to be Editor.

    Voted to be Editor.
    On this day, my peers voted that I would become Editor-in-chief of the West Side Story (school newspaper) the following year. For 2010, I learned under the current editor, John Nash, to be successful and prepared for the next year.
