  • Battle of Lexington

    Battle of Lexington
    On april 19 the kings troops were walking down Lexington Massachusetts on their way down they came across to minutemen lined up with firearms. The minute men were asked to put their firearms away but they chose not to do so and began to march towards them. someone shot fire and due to that that's when the british began to shoot fire as well. About 8 minutemen were killed and 10 were injured only one british soldier was injured. The battle of Lexington was the first battle that lasted 15 minute
  • Concord

    Concord
    On the same day of the battle of Lexington the british marched to concord and on their way there they found an empty arsenal. They then began to march back to boston but while they began to march back it all turned into chaos 3,000 to 4,000 minutemen were assembled and began to shoot at the british. Many british men were killed. This bloody act only left a few british men alive they had to march back to boston humiliated. Due to this act the colonists became enemies with britain.
  • Battle of Bunker hill

    Battle of Bunker hill
    On june 17 Thomas Gage sent over 2,400 of soldiers to the bunker hill to attack the colonists. The colonists were also there standing but they held their fire until the last minute. Then all shots began to fire. The colonists ended up retreating away. when all the smoke cleared up about 450 of the colonists men were killed and 1,000 of the british soldiers were injured. The bunker hill war was proven to be one of the most deadliest wars.

    The New Yorkers heard the blast of the cannon from the battle of long island. Then 5 days later a force over 32,000 British regulars, 10 ships, 20 frigates along with 170 defeated Washington troops. It also included thousands of German mercenaries, hired soldiers they were most known as Hessian because they came from the German region.

    On december 26 George washington and his soliders defeated formidable garrison of Hessian a george then returned back to trenton to lure the british forces to the south the british then regrouped together but on september 1777 they captured the amaerican capital at philadelphia

    When the british captured the american capital on september 1777 General John Brugyone wanted to lead army through Canada to Albany to meet up with British troops he wanted them to join forces so that hey can isolate New england and the colonies when the war began Brugyone didnt know the british had a hold of philadelphia on octover 17, 1777 Brugyone surrenderd

  • Valley Forge

    Valley Forge
    Washington and his continental army were low on food and supplies were fighting to keep themselvs alive. they stayed at the Valley Forge because of the hopeful turn of events that took lpace in paris. over 2,000 soldires died at the valley forge due frmo not having enough food or supplies. Due them suffering for so long they ended up filled washingtons letters to the congress.

    Marquis De Lafayette offered to help along with Firedrich von Steuben helped train the continental army Lafayette took action for french reinforcements in 17779 which led a command in virginia in the year of the war because of the European leaders the Continental Army became an effective fighting force

    on september 17,000 French and American troops surrounded the British they were surrounding them day and night until october 19 the British finally surrendered The americans left the wodl in shock when they defeated the British.
