It is estimated that between the years of 1250 AD and 1300 AD, the indigenous people of New Zealand began to arrive and settle in New Zealand. They came from the Polynesian Islands and journeyed to New Zealand by boat, navigating their way using the wind, stars, current and migration patterns of animals such as birds. -
