    Jesus was born to Mary and Joseph in a town called Bethlehem. The newborn baby is born in a manager rather than in the katalyma, which is a private home. The same night some shepherds saw an angel of the Lord coming down proclaimed that a Savior was born. Luke 2:1-20

    At the age of thirty, Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and afterwards Jesus saw the spirit of God ascending shape like a dove from heaven upon himself. The baptism of Jesus is a major event in the life of Jesus which marked Jesus’ divine identity.

    After Jesus was baptized, he began searching for his twelve disciples which were Peter (rock), James, John, Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, James, Thaddeus, Simon and Judas (who later turned on Jesus). These twelve men were appointed by Jesus to be proclaimed as apostles after following Jesus through his resurrection. They have the duty of carrying the gospel message.

    Jesus fed five thousand people with just five loaves of bread and two fishes by raising the baskets up to the heaven and spoke a blessing. The baskets then multiplied into a number of baskets in which Jesus asked his disciples to hand them out to the crowd of people. This shows Jesus’ compassion for the people and cured the sick.

    In a town called Bethany there was a man named Lazarus who was deathly sick. Lazarus’ family welcomed Jesus and his disciples into their home and offered food as well as washing his feet. Later Jesus goes to Lazarus’ tomb and orders the stone to be rolled away. Jesus ultimately prays to the heaven and raises Lazarus from the dead. This event almost resembles the resurrection of Jesus later in the near future.

    As Jesus was leaving Jericho, two blind men shouted Jesus’ name as he was going by, “LORD, Son of David, have mercy on us!”. Jesus asked them what they wanted him to do for them then they replied, “we want our sight”. Jesus then performed a miracle where he touched their eyes and they immediately received their sight.     The triumphal entry is traditionally commemorated on Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday is a day marking Jesus’ coming into Jerusalem, on the Sunday before the crucifixion. Jesus’ purpose in riding donkey into Jerusalem was to announce his presence as their Messiah and King of Israel in fulfillment of Old Testament

    The Last Supper was the final meal that Jesus shared with his disciples, the night before his crucifixion. During the meal, Jesus predicted that one of his disciples would betray him. At the end of the meal, Jesus broke bread and shared it with his disciples, telling them to “do this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19)

    Jesus was crucified on a Friday alongside two robbers, one on each side of him. A sign above his head read “King of the Jews”. As he was being crucified Jesus cried out: “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing”. Jesus’ death was to save all of humanity from their sin. (Luke 23:34)

    The Resurrection

    The Resurrection
    After crucifixion, Jesus’ body was buried in a tomb guarded by Roman soldiers. Early on Sunday morning some of Jesus’ female followers went to anoint his body with spices. However, they discovered that the tomb was empty and two divine beings appeared in front of them to announce that Jesus had risen from the dead. Jesus’ resurrection signifies that we can have forgiveness from our sins and that death is not the end
