Airplanes were comfortable, with foam seats and food. -
Airplanes are groovy, man!
Airplanes were as big as people's hair was! There were many airplane companies, and lots of people to use them. It was still comfortable, sold food and drinks, and even had a bathroom! -

Airplanes are very useful for travelling, but it's not easy. There were many buttons and levers, it was very hard to operate them -

Now (probably)
Airplanes are a whole experience. Wake up at 4:00 am, drive to the airport, make your way through the crowd looking for your place, wait, in some cases wait even more, bard the plane avoiding that one seat near that darn baby. Up in the air waiting to arrive at your destination, sickened by jet lag. This invention moved society forward, and what would anyone do without it?
