Women usually wore ponchos, moccasins, love beads, peace signs, medallion necklaces, chain belts, polka dot-printed fabrics, and long, puffed "bubble" sleeves. Both men and women wore frayed bell-bottomed jeans, tie-dyed shirts, work shirts, Jesus sandals, and headbands.

Bell bottom pants, frayed jeans, midi skirts, maxi dresses, tie-dye, peasant blouses, and ponchos were common. Some accessories people wore were chokers, headbands, scarves, and jewelry made of wood, stones, feathers, and beads.

Button-up and v shirts. Looser pants being wide but straight, and tighter shirts were popular, and sometimes in a cropped athletic style.

Dark flannel shirts and ripped jeans were of the '90s grunge style. As bands such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam grew in popularity, this casual, laid-back look became a mainstream part of '90s fashion. Doc Martens and combat boots were also a staple in the grunge subculture.

Y2K trends were worn daily, but most of these looks were reserved for going out. Popular outfits for women included mesh or handkerchief tops, box-pleated or leather skirts, shiny pants, and sparkly shoes. For men, Y2K looks usually involved leather jackets, a statement dress shirt, and chunky shoes.

Denim ripped jeans and ripped jackets, flannels, animal print coats, printed t-shirts which were frequently color or stone faded, black combat boots, biker boots, and leather motorbike jacket were popular during this time.
