Battle at Lexington and Concord
Often known as the "shot heard round the world" the battle at Lexington and Concord started when militiamen in Massachusets defended an armoury from British soldiers, the colonists initially lost. However, the militiamen then regrouped, and with around 1,000 men, the colonists attacked the British suffered many casualties as they marched back to General Gage in Boston. -

The siege of Fort Ticonderoga
On the night of May 9, around 100 men under the command of Bennedict Arnold and Ethan Allen crossed lake Champlain and snuck into the officer's quarters Fort Ticonderoga and forced the British surrender. Each of the commanding officers took around 100 cannons from the fort, which were sorely needed for the seige of Boston. -
The Battle of Chelsea Creek
Colonists removed the British regular's livestock and hay to help with the seige of Boston. Also, it was the first naval capture in the war and was a huge morale booster for the colonists. -
The Battle of Bunker (Breeds) Hill
Took place during the seige of Boston, colonists held Bunker hill until they ran out of ammunition, they lost the battle but got a morale victory. When the militia's ammunition ran out the British stormed and quickly then took the hill but suffered great losses with over 200 killed and 800 wounded. -
Olive Branch Petition Sent to King George III
Drafted at the Second Continental Congress, the Olive Branch petition aimed to inform King George that the colonist's did not want independence or war, but less taxes. Originally drafted by Thomas Jefferson, but rewritten by John Dickenson. The document was a complete failure. -
New Hampshire ratifies its State Constitution
New Hampshire becomes the first British colony to creat its own government independent of Great Britain's in January of 1776. -

The Second Continental Congress Approves the Declaration of Independence
In the Second Continental Congress, the Declaration of Independence is passed and then sent to King George essentially as an official declaration of war from all Thirteen colonies. -
The Battle of Long Island
George almost lost the war a month after the declaration of independence was signed... The ENTIRE Continental Army was surrounded by British forces and had there not been bad weather to aide the escape of American forces, the war would have ended then and there. -
The Battle of White Plains
After almost daily skirmishes, the two armies met up in the middle each around 13,000 strong. The Americans under George Washington were camped behind entrenchments, the British under General Howe, approached in two waves the right, was lead by Sir Henry Clinton and the left was lead by Generals De Heister and Erskine(not making that up Brian), the Americans end up losing due to the Hessian attacks from the south that caused an American surrender. -
The Battle of Trenton
What better way to end a year of revolution then capturing 900 Hessian soldiers right after Christmas? Washington launches a surprise attack on Christmas, crosses the Delaware over night, and surprises those German mercenaries the day after Christmas when they're drunk and unprepared. The fighting doesn't even last an hour and is a major boost to American morale. -
The Battle of Princeton
Colonel Mawhood, moves into the unoccupied Trenton that Jesus{George) Washington left behind. Jesus comes back across the Deleware, beats Colonel Mawhood, and raises morale for his troops again. -
The Battle of Saratoga
American troops under Gates and Arnold, fight the British under General Burgoyne. At the end of fighting British hold the field still but at a great cost and Americans get moral victory. -
Continental Army enters Winter at Valley Forge
George Washington and the continental army spend a harsh winter together at valley forge, starvation and disese plagued them as well as desertion. The army that walked out was entirely different, it was trained and the soldiers there had created a bond with one another and the army was significaNTLY SMALLER. -
The Battle of Monmouth
Americans under Washington attack British baggage convoy, end up losing a close fight to the British under Sir Henry Clinton as well as proving that Americans can hold their own against the British regulars without surprise.Last battle between the two main armies, most of the fighting will now take place in the South. -
Capture of Savannah
Colonel Archibald Cambell sends over 3000 redcoats to Savannah Georgia to start the Southern campaign. It is easily taken with almost no resistance from the Americans. -

Under General George Jesus Washington, American forces seige and take Yorktown and defeat British soldiers under Cornwallis. This leads to Cornwallis' assistant to surrender and America to win the war! USA USA USA! -

Britain officially recognizes America as an independent nation and officially ends the war. -
Shay's Rebellion
Poor farmers get mad because they are going bankrupt and won't pay taxes so they shut down courthouses to avoid debtors prison.A millitia is raised and the rebellion ends. -
Philidelphia Convention
Jesus gets fed up with the AOC(because it sucks) and presides over a constitutional convention after he and some friends overthrow the American Government, because who would say no to Jesus(George Washington). -
United States Constitution comes into effect
Constitution is now the law of the land when 9/13 states adopt it, America finally has a Government that functions.
