The Nile river was super important to everybody, it helped with transportation and helped with agriculture. This River was the support to absolutely everything that happened in Egypt. This River has been around longer than mankind.

Houses

6000 BCE

Houses in ancient Egypt normally consisted of mud bricks. The floors normally just consisted of whatever was there to begin with. these houses housed everybody in egypt.

Tools

6000 BCE

Tools consisted of many items such as limestone, chiseled stone, wooden tools, and hammers of all sorts. These helped carve bigger things like the sphinx or the pyramids. Tools were also used for many different things like animals or fighting.

First settling

The first settling in ancient Egypt is what set the whole thing off. This was the first coming of what Egypt had to offer. This is also what set up a lot of the current events today.

Cultures

Cultures started to form in ancient Egypt, they started with small tribes. Ancient Egypt started with small tribes all along the Nile river and as time went on they expanded turning into Cultures. This was known from the agriculture they had and the pottery.

Pottery

Pottery was huge in ancient Egypt. Pottery was one of the main sources Egyptians used as a way to show culture. This allowed historians to find a way to date things from that time, and showed what they believed in.

Transportation

Transportation in ancient egypt consisted of boats when on water and oxen or donkeys when on land. This was good for the egyptians because it was the easiest way of transportation. This was a lot better than going by foot.

Trades

Trades from the east started to happen in Egypt where they were starting to get better tools. They were able to get items like obsidian to get sharper and better tools. This impacted everything as trade from further away started to happen.

Civilization

People had been settled in Egypt for a while, but this is the first time people have started a civilization. This is the start of a lot of the important events that happened in Egypt. Civilization also meant that they started huge amounts of agriculture, and also meant that people were starting to work together.

Hieroglyphics are super important to historians because they showed how Egyptians could tell stories, or wrote just about anything. It was important to the egyptians because they could tell stories, or they could write down important things.

Gods in Egypt are a big thing because they meant a lot to the Egyptians. They all meant something different, and they were all equally important. They also had their own features such as animal-like features.

Treasure

Treasure in ancient Egypt was most often owned in large quantities by the pharaohs. It was also owned by the lower class in lesser quantities as they were found to have a small amount buried with them. Everything they owned with large value was buried with the bodies.

Ancient Egypt games were pretty important to everybody in egypt. These helped people pass the time and also helped make people happier. These were family traditions and could consist of many different games such as senet, mehen and many more.

Tombs

Tombs were an artwork to egyptians they represented eternal life. As pharaohs died they would be wrapped up to preserve their bodies. They would also be buried with all their gold and possessions.

Mummys

Pharaohs were wrapped before they were buried to preserve the bodies for afterlife. This was also a way to show respect towards them. Mummies were seen as the most common way for burial back then.

Sphinx

The Great Sphinx is a great piece of Egypt as it shows that the Egyptians can work and make pieces of art. The Great Sphinx was a human head with a lion body. It was made to watch over Egypt.

Pyramids of Giza

The Pyramids of Giza are a super important part of Egyptian times because of what they represent. They represent eternal life. This is where all the pharaohs got buried with all their riches hoping to bring them to the next life.

Egyptian Underground Tombs

These tombs were eventually created because of grave robbers. These grave robbers knew that the kings were being buried in the pyramids so they would go in and steal what they were buried with. This eventually caused them to find new spots to be buried, this was underground.

Lever system

The lever system was used to transport the bricks used to build the pyramid. This was the main way that the pyramids were built and was one of the best and easiest ways to move the heavy bricks. This was one of the first cases of people using these heavy bricks.

Agriculture

Agriculture was huge in ancient Egypt and was only possible because of the Nile river. The Nile river flooded leaving behind soot which helped the crops grow. They grew mostly beans and wheat.
